I enjoy doing portraits but most of the time I don't draw. I paint. This time I wanted to explore the boundaries of the line. To define a form with lines not color only. It's a bust of a woman, a heart and simple background forming a heart again.

This is a photo manipulation. It's quite of a personal piece and I felt it as entirely incomplete without the frame. So if it is necessary, I'll remove it, though I wouldn't prefer that.

I'd like to mention the stock artists without whom photo manipulation wouldn't be possible (especially if you don't have your own Cannon ) :

Done in Photoshop, overbrushed and blended with Wacom Volito graphic tablet. Took me around 2 hours.
